The Ottawa Bach Choir (OBC) will perform Baroque and Beyond in the Festival, Music and Beyond, on Friday, July 9, 2010, 8:00 pm, at Knox Presbyterian Church, 120 Lisgar Street. The OBC, Ottawa’s professional chamber choir under the direction of Lisette Canton, will present music from the Baroque period and beyond, including several favourites. The concert’s programme will feature works by Bach, Buxtehude, Caldara, Monteverdi, Purcell, Lang, Messiaen, Poulenc, Barber and much more. The Ottawa Bach Choir, which has received both national and international acclaim, was founded in 2002 by Lisette Canton and consists of some of the top choristers from the National Capital Region and beyond. With the combination of a scholarly and emotional approach, the Choir hopes to provide an unforgettable experience of choral music at its best.
