As founder and artistic director of the Ottawa Bach Choir, I am pleased to invite you to subscribe to our seventh spectacular season, in which you'll be treated to exceptional performances by this internationally acclaimed ensemble. The subcription series will comprise four main concerts:
In nativitatem on November 28, including the launch of the choir's new CD, Jesu, meine Freude (Jesus, my joy); In stiller Nacht, with music for the season, on December 17; moving works for unaccompanied chorus in OBC a cappella on February 21, and Prelude – Europe 2009 on April 25, which previews music for the choir`s third tour to Europe.
Concerts outside of Ottawa take the choir to Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto, where it has been invited back to perform in the Choir and Organ Series on November 20, to Mexico City from Dec. 4-9 to perform with the Orquesta del Nuevo Mundo and to Europe in June 2009, where it will perform for the third time in Bach`s church, the Thomaskirche in Leipzig, St. Paul's Cathedral in London as well as Notre Dame Cathedral, Church of the Madeleine and the American Church in Paris.
